You want to know a secret? I got this blazer when I was thirteen.

Want to know something else? It’s my favorite piece.

“How did you develop your style so young?” people continually ask. While my style changes a little like most individuals, most of my outfits are chic. Simple. Classic.

How did I develop this consistency? I collect. For me, a happy closet consists of well-worn, timeless pieces that hold memory. For example, every time I slip on this tan blazer, I remember the first time I wore it in seventh grade. (I was a wee-middle schooler with big dreams and an even bigger fear of the eighth graders!) Each day I wear this pleated skirt, I think of the first time I drove alone on my sixteenth birthday. *What a day!*

So what inspires my wardrobe?

While I am inspired by trends, art, and travel–at the end of the day–my closet is built from pieces I’ve collected over time.

These pieces are well worn. They’re classics. They’re little reminders of who I am.
